Our students are finally back on the basketball court! It was their first time playing in a senior high school basketball tournament since the start of the pandemic.
Despite all the obstacles in their way – limited practice, limited gym access, and a last-minute entry – they still managed to compete against some tough competition. The other school teams (boys only and all grades 11 and 12, with regular practice and access to gyms) had an advantage, but our girls and boys didn’t back down from the challenge!
It was a true David and Goliath story – but our team showed grit, determination, and sportsmanship. It was great to see them on the court, having fun and doing what they love. Even if we hadn’t scored a single basket, watching our team come together and play with such passion would have been victory enough. But the fact that they competed AND BROUGHT HOME A WIN is truly amazing.
We are so proud of them and everything they have accomplished. Thanks to all the teams who participated for a great day of games!
