The holiday season is a time for giving, and Merrick Preparatory School has set the tone by hosting its first Christmas lunch on campus since the start of the pandemic. Students, staff, and special guests from our wonderful Merrickville community were treated to a truly delightful meal including roasted turkey, mashed and sweet potatoes plus stuffing and gravy – complemented by some deliciously steamed asparagus. And to top it off what better way than caramel cheesecake for dessert?
The event was organized by Merrick Prep’s Headmaster Mr. Kevin Farrell, MPS’ Director of Admissions, Mrs. Johanna Ziegler, and, last but not least, Mrs. Carey Oberman in her role as Chef extraordinaire. It was obvious to everyone that they went above and beyond to make this gathering a special occasion – decorating the dining hall with festive Christmas decorations and preparing delectable food!
Everyone had a great time catching up with each other and enjoying the festive atmosphere; Santa himself even made an appearance bearing hugs & small presents adding his own touch of Christmas cheer.
It was wonderful to see the Merrick community come together in such a positive way, and we're already looking forward to next year's Christmas lunch!
